1st Annual Music Commendations 2009

Okay I might be exaggerating a bit from the title of this post... but dudes and gals, this is not just any other post in the world from me! This post is specially for my commendation (or awards rather) for songs in each language I hear which are English, Chinese, Japanese and Korean (started this year). So without further ado, I shall start my presentation(okay whatever)!

English Songs

My Best English Song of 2009: Adam Lambert - Time For Miracles

Okay I might figure out what you guys are thinking. Adam Lambert is kinda gay I know that, but boy does he have a voice and song to be admired here. Used brilliantly in the movie 2012, those who watched it would probably regard this song as one of the best, as if one listens to its meaningful lyrics properly, the whole movie might just flash through your mind once again, bringing back all the scenes which swelled our hearts. Ha, okay so Adam Lambert makes it to my favourite English Song of the year, Time For Miracles.

Best Newbie of 2009: Dashboard Confessional - Belle of The Boulevard

Okay I know some of you might not even have heard of this song. But it sure is a sweet one and might just rock the streets next year!

Chinese Songs

My Best Chinese Song of 2009: 周杰伦 - 龙战骑士

This song is absolutely a rocker of a Chinese song. The starting tune starts to rock your whole feel already before Jay does the tricks with his perfect rapping and singing. Nevertheless, of all Jay Chou songs, this one is the one, which makes it to my top Chinese Song of 2009!

Best Newbie of 2009: 张韶涵 - 偶尔

This female singer sure has a troublesome name to write, but boy does she sing a great song in this single. I'm not quite sure when i heard it. But the moment I did, I know it would've been one of the best in the world.

Japanese Songs

My Best Japanese Song of 2009: Arashi - One Love

Okay here's the catch. I know many people don't even listen Japanese songs here, but I'm still gonna continue no matter how many rotten apples you are gonna throw at my face. Arashi's One Love makes it to the top of Japanese Songs for its meaningful lyrics and blissful tune. Prepare to catch more Arashi songs in near future! (Oh crap there's a giant boulder heading towards me!)

Korean Songs

My Best Korean Song of 2009: BigBang & 2NE1 - Lollipop

One word to describe my selection of Korean songs. Complicated. My knowledge of Korean songs has just begun and this song caught my eye immediately. 2NE1 making their so-called debut together with highly-experienced BigBang in this jovial song Lollipop. Well, you've gotta expect plenty more from these girls of 2NE1, because they might just set the town on FIRE next season! So watch out for these men and women!

The First B-ball experience

During recess today, Xue Wei, Jovi, Clinton and I went to play besketball. Jovi and I were eating lunch together at first, then he told me they were playing so I just tagged along to have some fun. Fun... not really the word to use though. When we got there there was a Sec 2 boy playing. He challenged us 1 vs 4. First to seven won. Well he got it and thrashed us 7-2. Determination

Once a big fat Mouse and a lively little Mouse were hopping along together when they had the misfortune of jumping into a pail of fresh milk. They swam for hours and hours hoping to get out somehow; but the sides of the pail were steep and slippery and death seemed to be certain. When the big Mouse was exhausted he lost courage. Belief

Believe in Yourself There may be days when you get up in the morning and things aren't the way you had hoped they would be. That's when you have to tell yourself that things will get better. There are times when people disappoint you and let you down. But those are the times when you must remind yourself to trust your own judgments and opinions, to keep your life focused on believing in yourself. There will be challenges to face and changes to make in your life, and it is up to you to accept them. Constantly keep yourself headed in the right direction for you. It may not be easy at times, but in those times of struggle you will find a stronger sense of who you are. So when the days come that are filled with frustration and unexpected responsibilities, remember to believe in yourself and all you want your life to be.
