Launch of YOG & a Special Day

On April 8, RV held the launch of the Youth Olympic Games. On that special day, we came to school in our house T-shirts. My house was Minotaur, and the four others were Centaur, Gryphon, Unicorn and Pegasus. The first activity was the march past. We ( the five houses) had to march past the VIP and wave at them just like any other march past in the Games. However the next part was the torch relay, and I was part of it! I had to get the torch(not the real one) from Ms Ek and pass it on the the SCs. I accidentally spilled dry ice along the way!! Hope it didn't affect the whole process!!

Then during CHAMPS lesson, we had PE instead and could choose our own games to play. Clinton and the others went to play soccer. But I suggested we play a Boys vs Girls Captain's Ball game. What's more, we had had five boys - Jeryl, Sammy, Jiang Xu, Tze Kiat and I!! We got off to a bad start, which was expected, and fel 2-0 behind the overwhelming girls. Funny, you might say, but we didn't give up. The four boys on the ground (Sammy was captain) was enough to threaten the girls. But you could say that we were actually outclassed and dominated by the girls. especially Jing wen, who kept marking me all the way and I had to distract her in order to get unmarked. However, we did come back to lead 7-5. Then, the girls pulled one back with seconds to play. And, they did eventually get their late equaliser... 7-7!! But we won on handicap... hehe
